Individual Junior Tuition
Individual tuition
Lessons for juniors can be taken in half hour or 1 hour sessions, there is a discount for booking 6 sessions in advance and paying for 5. Individual coaching is generally considered best for a more concentrated period of learning. I would recommend individual coaching for the lower handicap players.
Junior Group Lessons
New groups start at the beginning of each new school term, there are 6 sessions and they cover all aspects of golf including swing technique, etiqutte, rules, golf general knowledge and much, much more. Group tuition offers many advantages such as cost effectiveness, good atmosphere and good fun and possibly the most important factor is that you get to know other young golfers.
I try to get the youngsters out on the course as soon as they can hit the ball consistently, the shorter Par 3 course at Thornbury is ideal for this and we arrange games on alternate Saturdays at the moment.

Birthday Parties
These are great fun and a brilliant alternative to football or swiming parties. Ideal for between 6 and 12 participants, we go out on the range and have a go at hitting woods and irons and then play some 'golfy' games.
Parties last for 2 hours and food is optional, golf experience is definitely not essential, so the birthday girl or boy can quite happily invite any non-golfing friends.
Coach and Play Days
These are days during the school holidays where pupils can spend the day playing their favourite sport and making friends. The day starts with some coaching and brushing up on the swing technique and then it's out onto the course. We play the front 9 holes and then break for some lunch, then it's back out for the back 9 and a tally up of everyone's scores.
Special Events
I am currently planning some special events for 2009 and beyond, these will range from special competitions such as the 2008 Christmas Scramble through to trips to European Tour events and special coaching clinics and presentations with some top junior coaches.
Adult Lessons
Ideal if mum or dad don't play golf yet! Please get in touch if you would like to join the rest of your golf-mad family out on the links. You can learn as a couple or the ladies can opt for the Women only group sessions.
If you want to learn the game in 2009, I would recommend taking the plunge and booking a package of 6 for the price of 5. This will ensure enough time commitment for you to acquire all the basic skills to feel confident enough to play a few holes on the Par 3 course.
Ladies beginners group tuition
This is a great way to get started, just a great fun way to learn all the basics within a group environment. A relaxed easy intro into how to play as well as covering many of the other issues that face the new golfer.
There are usually so many questions and worries facing the beginner, this seies of lessons will address many of these and are aimed at building self-confidence and a real sense of achievement. You may be surprised at just how good a golfer you might be!

Corporate golf days
Golf and business have gone hand-in-hand for many years and this is a great way of entertaining clients, team-building or simply rewarding your amazing, loyal workforce.
No golf experience is necessary as the golf days can be built around the learning of a new set of skills. Thornbury Golf Centre is a great venue for holding meetings and conferences where the two aspects can be blended perfectly.
